WHAT MAKES A BOWRAL WINE TOUR DIFFERENT

Nothing is left to chance From pre-arranged tastings at every winery to your morning coffee order confirmed in advance - every element of your day is considered before you arrive.

Private and personal No mixed group bus tours. No strangers. Just your group, your guide, and an itinerary built around you. We cater for couples through to larger groups and every experience feels bespoke.

Local knowledge you can't Google Sean’s whole focus is making wine enjoyable, approachable, and genuinely fun. Guests consistently describe it as feeling like a local, not a tourist.

Comfortable, premium transport Travel in one of our Merecedes Benz Vehicles, enjoying cold sparkling or still water on demand, a refrigerator in the back, and someone who carries your purchases to the car.

The little touches that make it memorable Chocolates for a birthday. Umbrellas door-to-door in the rain. Blankets for the cooler days. Pickles from a favourite producer left as a surprise on the way home. These are the details guests still talk about months later.

My girlfriends and I had such a wonderful day… everything was five-star, from communications ahead of time to the execution of the day itself.

BEFORE THE TOUR, OR AFTER - THERE'S ONE MORE THING WORTH KNOWING

Introducing Bowral Cellar Door - our home base in the heart of the Southern Highlands.

If you've ever wanted to explore Southern Highlands wine without committing to a full day out, this is your starting point.

Located at The Mill in Bowral, Bowral Cellar Door is where we bring the region's best cool-climate wines together in one relaxed, central location. No driving between wineries. No planning. Just great wine, guided by Sean — a member of Sommeliers Australia — and poured with the same care and passion that goes into every tour we run.

We've curated a beautiful selection of award-winning local wines chosen to showcase the very best of what the Southern Highlands wine region has to offer. From elegant Pinot Noir and crisp Riesling to delicate sparkling styles and beautiful rosés — every wine on our list has been hand-selected because it tells the story of this remarkable cool-climate region at altitude.

It's the perfect introduction. Taste your way through the region, let Sean bring the wines to life, then let us know which ones you loved.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS WINE COUNTRY

WHY IT MATTERS

Most people are surprised to learn that one of Australia's most exciting emerging wine regions is just 90 minutes from Sydney and 50 minutes from the NSW South Coast.

The Southern Highlands sits between 500 and 900 metres above sea level on the Great Dividing Range, with vineyards positioned at up to 700 metres in altitude. That elevation is everything. Grapes ripen slowly in the cooler climate, resulting in bright flavours and elegant wines that are genuinely distinct from anything produced in warmer Australian regions.

The Southern Highlands is home to more than 60 vineyards, but only a handful have cellar doors open to visitors - which is exactly what makes knowing where to go so valuable. The best experiences here aren't found by driving around and hoping for the best. They're found through relationships, local knowledge, and a guide who's already done the work. The fertile soils, high altitude, and seasonal changes are ideal for cool-climate viticulture , producing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris that regularly take out national and international awards.

But wine is only part of it.

The Southern Highlands is also home to Fitzroy Falls - one of NSW's most spectacular natural landmarks, thriving artisan food producers, the famous Tulip Festival, and some of the best regional food in the state. Think mountains, valleys, escarpments, rolling hills, bush wilderness, national parks, olive groves, horse studs, historic villages, and classic colonial architecture.

This is a region worth exploring. We'll make sure you see the best of it.
